Being able to read pitches quickly is one of the biggest keys to becoming a great hitter in MLB The Show 25. The right camera setup can drastically improve how soon you recognize pitch type, location, and break.


1. Recommended Hitting Cameras

MLB The Show offers several preset batting camera options, but these three are the most popular for competitive play:


Strike Zone


Pros: Close zoom, great for tracking pitch movement and ball location.


Cons: Less view of the field.


Best For: Players who want maximum pitch detail and are comfortable reacting quickly.


Strike Zone 2


Pros: Slightly zoomed out compared to Strike Zone, better field visibility.


Cons: Slightly less detail on pitch spin.


Best For: Balanced play between pitch recognition and spatial awareness.


Strike Zone 3


Pros: Further back with more of the batter visible, still keeps a good view of the ball.


Cons: Ball may appear slightly smaller.


Best For: Players who want a wider perspective while still maintaining recognition.


2. Customizing the Camera

You can fine-tune any preset camera for optimal pitch recognition:


Zoom: Increase for better view of pitch spin; decrease for more reaction time.


Height: Raise slightly to see breaking balls earlier; lower for MLB Stubs for sale fastball-focused hitting.
